Miranda Gunn ♦ Vocal Coach
“I am Miranda and I have been working as a vocal leader for 3 years, leading choirs, glee clubs,
and school groups towards performances, including the Royal Festival Hall in 2011 and 2012.
I am the Musical Director for the AGWC choir (Actually Gay Women's Chorus) in Hove and
also the Brighton and Sussex University Hospital staff choir. I believe in learning through
singing and so all sessions are taught by ear with words. I also perform professionally
with the function band "Milomax" and teach flute, saxophone, piano and singing privately
in Brighton and Hove."
Chiara Fulgoni
“My name is Chiara Fulgoni. I am 20 years old and currently studying at Brighton University.
I love dancing and singing so joining Glee was perfect for me to continue after moving to Uni.
Every week is a lot of fun and I have gained some wonderful new friends in the process!”
Lucy Hunter
“I am currently in my final year of training to become a registered nurse. I joined
Glee after falling in love with the television show and was pleased to find the group.
I joined in January and still love Monday night meetings - they make me feel part
of a family and completely comfortable in my own skin. I love singing and dancing
and am hoping to try out for XFactor next year which the group have given me the
confidence to do. I would tell anyone who is thinking about coming along to the
meetings to do so because we will make you feel very welcome!”
Alex Besson
“Hi my name is Alexis Besson, I am an original member of Glee joining in August 2010.
I am a senior account manager at a pharmaceutical company but have always had an
interest in performing and singing. I was in many shows and choirs as a child but
having a hectic working life meant I couldn’t find an outlet for performing.
However finding Glee has enabled me to continue my passion. I would recommend
joining Glee as it is the perfect antidote to a busy life and making wonderful friends!”
Mariana Moyano
“I'm Mariana, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I've been part of Brighton Glee
since January 2011. I have practiced dance and gymnastics since I was 10 years old until
my early teens and have always loved singing. I was part of my local church choir
for a couple of years and even formed a little band with friends and we even won
a few prizes on a competition with a song I wrote, but that was millenniums ago!
Sadly I didn't pursue any singing activities besides the odd band with friends, where
I sang from rock to jazz songs. It was watching Glee that I thought it would be fun to
be part of a performing group again and Brighton Glee has been both fun and rewarding
in terms of learning and making friends. I really enjoy my Monday evenings with the team!"
Tara Chang
“I’m Tara, I work for an insurance software house as an account manager. I joined Glee
in April and since joining I’ve taken part in performing with the group at Brighton
Fringe Festival in June where we spent months practising singing and dancing to ensure
the performance was a success, and indeed it was! Glee has given me the chance to
meet some great people and I've made friends in the process :) !”
Karina Knowles
“I'm a music teacher specialising in singing, piano and performance. I love musical
theatre so Glee seemed just the thing for me. Being part of Glee is really special
and every week I go home with a huge smile on my face! In fact, I will be spreading
even more glee with my own Glee Kids Club for mini gleeks!"

“I'm Irena and I love Glee because it gives me a lot of good energy for the whole
week, plus it helps keep you fit J ! I feel lucky to have met such lovely people at Glee!"
Katy Ellis
“My name is Katy, I'm a medical student and joined Brighton Glee is Jan 2012. I love
coming to Glee, its a really great start to my week and everyone goes out of their
way to be friendly and supportive at meetings and in performances.
The songs we sing are challenging and fun and the dance moves are simple enough for
someone clumsy like me but effective! :) It's a great group and really brightens
up my Monday evenings!"
